News: Mackenzie Dern vs Amanda Cooper confirmed for UFC 224

After her split decision win at UFC 222, Mackenzie Dern said she wanted her next fight to be in Brazil. It looks like the strawweight prospect is going to have her wish granted.

According to reports first published by MMABrasil.com, Dern (6-0-0) will put her perfect MMA record on the line against Amanda Cooper at UFC 224 in Rio Di Janeiro, Brazil.

Cooper later confirmed the news via her instagram.

The Ultimate Fighter season 23 finalist Cooper (3-3-0), is coming off a second round TKO victory over the recently released Angela Magana at UFC 218.

UFC 224 takes place on May 12th and will be headlined by a women’s Bantamweight title contest between Amanda Nunes and Raquel Pennington. The card will also feature a pair of middleweight bouts with Jacare Souza facing Kelvin Gastelum and Vitor Belfort squaring off with fellow veteran Lyoto Machida.
