Just one month on from a vicious TKO win over Michal Materla at KSW 42, ACB have confirmed that Scott Askham (16-4-0) will make his return to the promotion for ACB 87. The 29-year-old Yorkshireman will be putting his two fight win streak on the line against Ibragim Chuzhigaev (11-5-0) when the pair meet in Nottingham.
The fight will be the former UFC veteran’s second appearance for ACB after picking up a split decision win over Luke Barnatt in the main event of ACB 70 in September 2017.
Chuzhigaev is riding a two fight win streak of his own following a KO win over Will Noland at ACB 70 and avenging a previous loss to Igor Svirid with a unanimous decision victory at ACB 80. The 26-year-old Russian fighter has spent most of his professional career fighting under the ACB banner, making 12 appearances for the promotion since 2014, for a record of nine wins and three losses.
ACB 87 will be headlined by a featherweight contest between Kane Mousah and Robert Whiteford. The event will take place on May 19th 2018 at the Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham, England. Tickets will go on sale Thursday 22nd March at 3pm and will be available from www.motorpointarenanottingham.com.
