Fans looking forward to the highly anticipated bout between Brave Combat Federation’s lightweight stars, Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady and Erik Carlsson, will sadly have to wait.
Just one week out from the fight, Al-Selwady has been removed from the contest due to an injury he picked up in training.
Earlier today the 23-year-old posted a statement on his Facebook account confirming the news along with a picture of his injured finger.
“Due to a broken bone injury sustained in training this week I will not be able to fight next week for the fight I have sacrificed everything for . Everything happens for a reason and There is always something positive in a hard situation. As much as I am angry that I will not be able to fight I know god has something better planned for me, only time will tell. Meanwhile I’m going to keep my head high , move forward and get better and stronger! Thank you all for the support”
It is unclear at this time if Erik Carlsson will remain on the Brave 13 card or if the promotion will attempt to rebook the fight for a later date.
