After a thrilling event in Belfast marking their first European trip, Brave CF have announced the performance bonus for the fighters on the card.
Brave 13: Europe Evolution has embraced the concept of performance bonuses to reach out to their athletes. The traditional concepts set by other promotions, such as fight of the night, submission of the night and knockout of the night, is the method Brave CF wish to reward their roster with. The reward system is announced on top of the win bonus (which is already provided to the athletes.)
“Rewarding athletes aptly is necessary for the growth of the sport as well as to sustain the fighters. So we hope that this movement will benefit the fighters. Apart from motivation, this will lead the fighters to be competitive and to deliver quality performance. I am glad that we are bringing such changes that has a positive impact in global mixed martial arts.”, said Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation.
In the first edition where the concept is introduced, Brave Combat Federation shortlisted Aidan James, Cian Cowley, Chad Hanekom and Rodrigo Cavalheiro.
Aidan James who won performance of the night fought three rounds of action where he gained a TKO victory over Tommy Martin from SBG Ireland in the third round.
At the same time, Chad Hanekom made a statement with his return following a loss by split decision at Brave 10: Kingdom Rises against Ikram Aliskerov. Hanekom slammed Dominic McConnell following it up with a Kimura lock which ended up in submission in the first round.
Cian Cowley made a triumphant return after a break of an year to secure a TKO victory over Daniel Olejniczak with elbows and punches. Rodrigo Cavalheiro knocked out Karl Amoussou with a huge left hook which added his name to the winners of the performance bonus.
