The UFC is working towards adding an intriguing strawweight contest to UFC Lincoln with former Invicta champion Angela Hill (8-4-0) set to take on Alexa Grasso (10-2-0) when the promotion visits Nebraska later this year.
Sources cited by MMAWeekly confirmed that both fighters had verbally agreed to the contest and it now appears that Hill has signed on the dotted line, with the 30-year-old posting an image of a signed bout agreement on Twitter on Friday evening.
Grasso, currently number 11 in the strawweight rankings, arrived in the UFC as a highly touted, undefeated prospect. After defeating Heather Jo Clarke in her promotional debut, the 24-year-old has struggled for form and holds a record of 2-2 after four UFC appearances. Grasso will be looking to get back into the win column after last months disappointing first round submission loss to Tatiana Suarez at UFC Chile.
Hill holds a matching record of 2-2 after four UFC appearances and is currently number 15 in the UFC strawweight rankings. She does however have momentum on her side following a unanimous decision victory over Maryna Moroz at UFC on FOX 28 in February.
The Fight Night card set to take place in Lincoln, Nebraska on 25th August and will be headlined by the recently announced lightweight bout between Al Iaquinta and Justin Gaethje.
