News: Lyoto Machida reaches agreement for Bellator deal

It would seem that Bellator MMA have added yet another UFC veteran to it’s ranks.

Per ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida (24-8), has verbally agreed to sign a “multi-fight deal” with Belator MMA.

The 40-year-old Brazilian will bring a 2-fight winning streak over to Bellator after picking up wins over Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort (26-14) and Erik “Ya Boy” Anders (10-1) in what now looks to be his final two UFC appearances.

The signing is yet to be officially announced by Bellator and as such there is no timetable in place for the former UFC champion to make his promotional debut.
