After a shake-up to the main event in UFC‘s upcoming third visit to Nebraska, UFC Lincoln has booked a featherweight bout between exciting strikers Michael ‘The Menace’ Johnson and Andre ‘Touchy’ Fili.
Michael Johnson, loser of three straight for the first time in his career, is coming off a loss to the surging Darren Elkins this past January after moving down to featherweight. Johnson lost to current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in the UFC‘s first visit to Madison Square Garden back in September 2016 and then welcomed Justin Gaethje to the UFC last summer, losing a back-and-forth war in what most called the fight of the year.
Team Alpha Male’s Andre Fili on the other hand is riding a two-fight win streak. ‘The Fury’ battled Artem Lobov last October for a unanimous decision win and then followed that up with a split decision win against Dennis Bermudez the following January.
Can Michael Johnson get back on track against an always game Andre Fili? We’ll find out at UFC Lincoln, which goes down Saturday, August 25th, and features a can’t miss main-event in Justin Gaethje Vs. James Vick.
