Veteran lightweight and former TUF winner Stormin’ Norman Parke (25-6-1) has signed a multi fight deal with Bellator.
Jim Edwards of MMANYTT confirmed the news earlier this week.
The well travelled Northern Irishman joins the promotion holding a two fight win streak following victories over Lukasz Chlewicki (14-8-1) at KSW 43 and more recently, ‘Magic’ Myles Price (10-7-0) at Brave 13 in Belfast.
Rumours of the signing began circulating at the start of the week with Parke himself adding fuel to the fire on his instagram account.
At the time of posting, Parke replied to comments saying that nothing had been signed yet but that “it looks good”.
There had been numerous calls for Parke to make an appearance at KSW’s upcoming London event to complete a memorable trilogy with Mateusz Gamrot (14-0-0), having faced the undefeated Polish star twice previously for the KSW lightweight title.
For now at least, that fight seems destined not to happen with Parke’s new Bellator deal reportedly being an exclusive one. Despite fans not getting a chance to see a third fight with Gamrot, there will be no shortage of possible opponents for Parke in a stacked Bellator 155lb division.
