Breaking News: Regis Sugden vs Azi Thomas set for ACB 87

Regis Sugden will make his long awaited ACB debut against Welshman Azi Thomas at ACB 87.

Former K1 star Sugden (4-1-0) amassed an impressive amateur record of 120-6 followed by a 9-1 stint as a professional prior to making the move to MMA. Initially slated to make his debut at ACB 70 in September 2017, the 22-year-old was forced to withdraw from the card due to injury and is now set to make his bow in Nottingham.

SBG Mainline trained Thomas (9-3-1, 1 n/c), will be making his second appearance in the ACB cage following a decisive TKO victory over Eden Newton at ACB 54 last March. The experienced Welsh featherweight’s last fight was a hard earned draw at EFC 59 against Pierre Botha back in May 2017.

ACB 87 will be headlined by a featherweight contest between Kane Mousah and Robert Whiteford. The event will take place on May 19th 2018 at the Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham, England. Tickets go on sale at 3pm this afternoon and will be available from www.motorpointarenanottingham.com.
